Must be filled out, verified by the registrar and returned to be eligible for boxed lunches
Box Lunch Form
Must be filled out on days of approved conflicts to request specific boxed lunch meals. Please make sure you fill out completely. You may fill the out ahead of time so that your meal is ready when you come pick them up. Just make sure you fill out date and time of pickup.
What it is
Meals from the Waypoint Snack Bar are available to board students in cases where class conflicts prevent students from eating in the dining hall during regular meal hours, Monday through Friday (11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.). The meal will consist of: an entree, accompaniment, drink and dessert (see box lunch form for details). Meals must be picked up before 4pm daily.
How do you qualify to get Meal Equivalency?
The student must have a board plan (21, 17, 12 or 5 meal plan), and have classes scheduled during the whole of the Main Dining Hall lunch hours (11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.). Students must fill out a Meal Equivalency request form, either by picking one up at the Main Dining Hall cashier's station, Waypoint snack bar, or using the Meal Equivalency Request Form.
Students must fill out the top of the form in full, check off the days of the week that they have class conflicts, and bring the form to the registrar's office to verify schedule conflicts. Completed forms should be returned to the Waypoint.
Please be aware that meal equivalency is only available on the days of registrar approved conflicts that are verified on the form and not for conflicts other than classes without prior Dining Services management approval.
I filled out my form and returned it, now what?
Students who have been approved for meal equivalency may pick up a boxed lunch form either at the Waypoint or by using the Box Lunch Form. Forms may be filled out and returned ahead of time. Students may pick up their meal on the day of their request anytime between before 4pm on the day of their conflict.
Please be aware that meal plans allow for one meal per period. Therefore, if you have filled out a boxed lunch request, you will not be able to eat lunch in the Main Dining Hall on that day.
Lost or stolen Meal Cards need to be replaced as you need your MMA ID throughout campus, including to access your meal plan and Mariner Money.. Should this happen to you, you should stop by the Residential Life Office in Curtis Hall.
